Compression-moulded layer.
On the one hand this layer impresses with high mechanical strength, while on the other hand it is extraordinarily flexible. The high creep resistance supports the suitability for pressing.

Strengthening layer.
A special POLOPLAST-compound in this layer increases the longterm strength of the pipe.

Light blocking layer.
This layer prevents exposure to light in instances where pipes are laid in an open pit, which reduces algae growth and biofilm development.

Strengthening layer.
In this layer too, the special POLOPLAST-compound used improves the longterm strength of the pipe.

Superfinish layer.
The specially developed POLOPLAST compound not only reduces the thermal ageing of this layer, it also reduces embrittlement, improves the stability and increases the resistance to metal ions. The special processing of the materials in the course of production results in the superfinish of the interior surface, ensuring superior hydraulic smoothness.

CONNECTING TECHNOLOGY
The innovative connecting technology for the flexible 5-layer pipe system POLO-FIT.

(SAFE– FAST – SPACE-SAVING )
The POLO-FIT system does not use O-rings, and it is therefore not necessary to calibrate and chamfer the pipe in order to protect these rings. This means that, despite subsequent compression, the total time required during the processing of POLO-FIT is similar to that of push-fit systems. Shorten, insert, compress, job done.

 

Unlike traditional press fittings, the innovative connecting technology of this fitting compresses with the pipe along the entire 12 mm length of the sleeve! This connection is safe and impermeable.

 

The connecting technology also shows impressive results in comparison to sliding sleeves, with regard to the improved processing speeds. Two operational stages (expansion and sliding over) are eliminated.

Shortening

It is not necessary to chamfer and/or calibrate the pipe end, as no O-ring is required to act as seal.

 

 

 

 

 

Insertion

The pipe end is inserted fully into the fitting. The viewing panel for controlling the insertion (Detail A) also serves as tolerance compensation.

 



Compression

During the process, the compression tool squeezes off the compression control, thus signalling that pressing has been completed.
