An overview of our business lines

Modern building services engineering, particularly issues such as energy-efficient construction and comfortable living conditions, are the focus of the business line "Structural Engineering". This business line offers POLOPLAST products that guarantee the safe and flawless supply of the most valuable of our forms of sustenance: drinking water. Sanitary engineering is the main focus of the business line civil engineering comprising public works and foundation work. Here, POLOPLAST is the partner of infrastructure, sewage and water supply boards.
In the Compounding business line, POLOPLAST processes basic polymers by using various additives that optimise the property priofil of plastic for specific purposes. The possibilities are many an varied and depend on the desired properties of the structural component. POLOPLAST develops and produces special compounds for its own needs and for other plastics processing companies that are suitable for demanding applications.

POLOPLAST has its headquarters in Leonding (Austria) and a subsidiary in Ebenhofen (Germany), with a total of about 370 employees. POLO-ENGINEERING GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of POLOPLAST Leonding, markets know-how and intellectual property rights by concluding licence agreements.
POLOPLAST is 100%-owned by WIG Wietersdorfer Holding GmbH that has its headquarters in Klagenfurt (Austria). Since itsfoundation in 1893, Wietersdorfer hasbeen in family ownership and works in the cement, lime, building materials and pipes sectorsf. At present, Wietersdorfer is represented in more than thirty countries in Europe and further afield. Headquartered in the Alps-Adriatic region, almost 3,000 employees are committed to high product quality, innovation and benefits to the customer, while at the same time guaranteeing maximum protection of resources and the environment.
